Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan is a service provided by the Massachusetts Library System (MLS) that allows patrons to request and borrow items that our library does not own.
Items can be requested by logging onto the MVLC catalog. You will be asked to provide your library card number and your PIN.
Commonwealth Catalog
If a book cannot be found in the MVLC catalog, you can search the Commonwealth Catalog, a statewide collaborative effort of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners that provides access to holdings in hundreds of libraries in the Commonwealth.
For items not in the MVLC catalog or the Commonwealth Catalog, our librarians may be able to obtain an item through the nationwide OCLC system. Please email ask@westnewburylibrary.org or call the library to inquire.
