The Library will be closed on Monday, January 18th in honor of Martin Luther King Day.
Library Cards: Any resident of West Newbury over the age of five can obtain a library card at the library with proof of residency. A parent/guardian must be present and sign the application for any child under sixteen. This card allows a patron to use the facilities of our and any other Merrimack Valley Library Constorium (MVLC) library as long as the patron is in good standing.
Loan Periods: All books, books on CD or music CDs are loaned for one three week period and may be renewed if there are no requests. Renewals can be done online through your account page or by contacting the library. Periodicals, videos and DVDs are loaned for one week and are renewable. Begining in October 2020, all items eligible will be automatically renewd! For more details click here.
Placing a Hold: Check the online catalog to see if what you want is available at any of the 36 libraries in our library network. If it is, click the "place hold" link. You will need to log in with your library card and pin number. You can choose any library to pick up the item!
Lost or damaged books or other materials will be billed at replacement cost.
Library Elf: Elf offers library customers a way to keep track of their borrowed items by email or browser. Receive email courtesy notices when items are due, overdue or ready for pick up.
